The "Stria of Balbido" ... if you look in her eyes she brings you luck!
The largest witch in the world, entered in the Guinness Book of Records, is made with a dense intertwining of bamboo and wood canes (head, hands and feet) and is 10.77 meters high.
The Stria is linked to the local popular tradition, in fact the spiteful "strie" of the Val Marcia had fun in the past throwing stones at the farmers' carts.
Balbido however, first of all, is famous for being the village of murals that tell stories and traditions of the life of the past. 48 works embellish the town, decorating the walls of the houses.
Along the roads and in the most suggestive corners, there are also 27 wooden sculptures sculpted by international artists who have participated, since 1989, in the Symposium of Wooden Sculpture, the highlight of the village in the summer.
