The Baschenis painters carried out their works in the western valleys of Trentino in Italy, and in particular in the Giudicarie Valleys since the mid-fifteenth to mid-sixteenth century, where they generally depicted religious frescoes in many churches and chapels of Comano.
The Baschenis was a family of itinerant Painters, native of Bergamo, with a great artistic familiar tradition. Ten Painters of the Baschenis family worked in Trentino and, more specifically, in the Giudicarie, in the Rendena Valley, in Val di Sole and in Val di Non.
Especially Christopher II Baschenis is related to the paintings of the Comano valley, having a high artistic importance:
